I'm not going to mince words, it's not my style, and it won't do anything. After many hours of research, involving every department available, we found that if the S'opi S'alz continues on the rack it's on, there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. We did find, however, two loopholes to the entire thing. Neither of the options are great, but one is more preferable to the other.

The first option is incredibly risky. It would take a lot of magic, a lot of power, and I have no idea just what the consequences would be. The Senior Partners would have to basically restart the period of time that the S'opi gained all of it's strength during- meaning the summer we just spent- and basically go back to May, when the S'opi was't established yet to prevent it from doing so. If this route is taken- and it is the less desirable of the two- then everything that happened may be lost. Angel, you could end up- most likely would- losing Cordelia and Connor again- and there would be no guarantees that you would ever wake up, Cordy. Everything that happened, everything that we gained could be lost, and we might not get it back. People who we thought would be here, second chances might be lost.

However, there's another way. We could allow the Partners to move us to another identical dimension than this. Our loved ones would be there, safe, and while the S'opi would destroy this world, it wouldn't matter, because our entire lives would be there, ready to pick up where we left off. We'd be completely off the hook, and able to move on with our lives, and keep everything we hold dear to us.

So, there's your decision that the Partners have put to you. You don't have long to make it, only a couple of days before the window closes. Sacrifice everything, or go to another dimension and keep everything you've worked for.

Better think fast.

It can't be.

That is, are you sure the time-reset will affect us that greatly? Surely a cosmic force far outside our own dimension can't have that great effect on our individual lives for one summer?

I don't suppose me telling you that I'm not completely thrilled to be the harbinger, would help. However, it's not like we should give up all hope now. In case you didn't notice, there's more than one option.

If it helps, I can offer you drinks at my place. If I remember correctly, you tend to make good friends with Scotch in times like this.

No, that's not possible. We can't abandon this world to die. As much as the thought of giving up this summer--losing everything that's happened between us--

God.

It's got to come out right. At any rate, we can't simply allow billions of people to be killed. We simply can't. Not if there's anything that will prevent it.

Although I will take you up on those drinks. Quite possibly all of them.

They'd still be here. Well, in the alternate dimension would have everything that we have here. Besides, Wes, if you...

Why don't you just come over.

You can't be serious. We can't just shrug off the death of an entire universe, no matter how tempting the alternative.

Lilah, what about your mother? Your old boyfriends? The people you went to high school with? Surely there must be somebody you want to protect besides me.

Why not? It's not like we'd lose everything. We'd still have everything... more than we would if this went through.

Wes, I don't think you understand what could happen. With this spell, there's no guarantees of anything, and I don't feel like taking all of the second chances I've gotten and throwing them to the wind.

Lilah, for God's sake, this isn't about us. The stakes are far higher than anything we could imagine. You must see that.

If there's even a chance we can stop this, we have to risk it.

It's not about us, huh? Christ, Wesley, you're even more fucking dense than I thought. You have no idea... I mean, you're asking Angel to give up Cordelia and Connor. Again. To be brainwashed again, and...

God. I really actually thought a bastard like you would care a little more about the people around you. But then again, you always do something so fucking stupid and run off, ready to be the hero, but in the end, you're always fucking yourself over, and no one else. And you always throw away the things you have going for you when you get one of these ideas in your head. For once, for fucking once, stop being so god damned noble and do what you want. It's not like these people would ever know, Hell, I'm sure the Partners could arrange something for your own conscious, but for the love of God, Wes, you have a chance to actually get what you want, so just fucking take it.

Actually, I beg to differ. I seem to remember you making a rather studied choice at one point, and wasting a perfectly good pen in the process.

Lilah, you went with us to Canada. You've been making these visits to the Home Office for months now. How long as this been in the works? Weeks? Months? And you never so much as--

Bollocks. Damn me for a fool, I suppose.

Let's see, Wesley, damn myself for an eternity alone, or damn myself with a law firm for an eternity and just maybe actually...

You know, no matter my motives, they wouldn't fucking matter to you. Because I forgot, you don't really care about me- only reason you started to is because you thought I was good and pure. And you'd love to erase this summer, because then you could erase all of your mistakes with me.

Wes, if you'd gotten my pen, you would have damned me alone.

So instead you've chosen to have us all damn ourselves together.

Please leave me alone, Lilah.

You're a stupid bastard, Wesley, and I don't understand why I even bother.

Actually, I do, and that's why we're here.

Lilah if you guys went to another demention type thing...then would that mean youd have to kill or get rid of the 'yous' already there? because then there would be 2 of each of you..

or like what will happen?

Actually, the Senior Partners would arrange that ahead of time, using some sort of mystical whatever to fix it. They do tend to plan ahead, unlike "our heroes".
